Knowing a few questions and sentences in French is always better when you want to meet new people: it shows you try hard to integrate and French people always like it when they see someone is trying to speak their language! 

Moreover, being in a new country where you know (almost) no one can be challenging... As an expat myself, knowing a few basic questions and answers in Spanish helped me a lot when it came to meeting people and making new friends in Spain.

This is why I have decided to organise this masterclass. It will give you the opportunity to learn (or revise) these basics and be more confident to talk to French people and make new friends. On top of that, if you were interested in taking French classes, it is also a great opportunity for you to see what lessons with Frenchie Classes are like!

Who will be hosting the Masterclass?

Bonjour, je m'appelle Laurie! I am a native and certified French teacher and the founder of Frenchie Classes (online French classes for expats in France).

🛫 I was an expat in England during 5 years and in Spain for 3 years. I have been through the whole process of learning English and understanding the culture, and I did it all over again with Spanish as well! So I know and understand the challenges expats can face when learning a new language and trying to understand natives.

I will use English when necessary.

So just in case you were afraid you wouldn't understand, the answer is "yes, you will understand" and you will be able to ask your questions in English.

This is why I wanted to get together expats living in France and give them the opportunity to explore ways of boosting their listening skills and understand natives better!
